Josh Verne knows all about success. After starting his own prosperous businesses, he has some advice for people on how to succeed in their own lives, both in personal and business aspects.
The first piece of advice is to stop being a boss and be a leader. Bosses demands respect and uses his title to only accomplish his goals, not the goals of his team. Leaders on the other hand, earn the respect of their team by putting his team before himself. In order to be successful, you must earn respect, not demand it.
The second piece of advice from Josh Verne is to stop looking at any situation like it’s a losing one. As a leader, you should always try to find a win in every situation.
For the third piece of advice, Josh Verne makes the obvious point that you have one mouth and two ears for a reason. Start speaking less and listen more. When you speak less than you listen, the words you do speak will hold more power and authority. People will respect what you say and have a tendency to listen more.
Balancing your life is the fourth piece of advice. You could have success in monetary amounts but it would mean nothing if everything else in your life is out of order. Balancing your life is not necessarily about spending the same time on every aspect of your life. It’s more about striving to make progress in every aspect of your life, every day.
The fifth and final piece of advice is to find your passion. There are more than enough passionate people in the world who aren’t successful, but there aren’t too many successful people who are not passionate. In order to be successful, you have to find something that makes you wake up in the morning with a fiery ambition. If you’re not passionate about your life, every day will become monotonous and boring.
